Default clod standard pinions

ok i finally got my clod axles minus motors and pinions, so what i want to know is will it be ok to use 13t pinions with 55t lathe motors and if so how fast will it be using stock gearing as i want a crawling rig and not something that blasts down the street.

what i really want to know is if this will put enough torque through th wheels but also be a little punchy so it can actually get me up a good climb.

i dont want to use adjustable motor mounts as i have to wait on parts coming from america to get them so it is not really an option i would like to go.

or could someone even post videos and tell me what gearing they are using on a flat road, just so i get a better image of what i really want.

cheers and hope i get a rough idea of what i want.

you will be good to go and still have some wheel speed whick helps alot trust me. you will need to go with lower pinion gear to get rid of some clodstall though.

I'm running 13's with 55's and it's not bad. Plenty of climbing power and enough speed. I have 8 and 9 tooth pinions I want to try but motor clearance and the lower links seems to be a issue.

You can help this by installing a smaller tooth pinion in the rear axle than you put in the front axle. Example....a 9 tooth in the rear and a 10 tooth in the front.
Helps the rear axle to keep up.

P.S. There is no such thing as a dumb question! That is how we learn stuff.
Lol half the time you get flamed if you ask a dumb question here

electricity takes the path of least resistance(the shortest distance) therfore the rear end that is in a bind the most.

oh yeah and that is also me and you cant get rid of me that easy.lol

i run an evx and 55 turn axles snappers and i have hardly andy clodstall at all now. it is almost unstoppable. likes to break things before it stalls now.

you think when i done a search on clodstall all it brought up was feedback for you how frustrating was that. right i have my thirteen tooth pinions ordered and i will see what they are like as i dont really want to go down the adjustable motor mounts road as i plan to use 550 motors and i think it will be a little tight round the Sus' links.
