Default Motor Getting Warm ?

Just been using my clod and after 5 mins I have noticed that the rear motor is getting slightly warm, the front still feels cool, Is this normal for the rear motor to get warm ? , 65t motors,8t pinions,9.6v battery.

The weight of 8 cells could be warming it up too.

drzjohn, I had the exact same problem of one motor getting warm, and I found out that I had locked the diff with the output gears off centre. This meant that there was some resistance against the motor, and caused it to heat up. You can check for drivetrain binding by removing your motor from the gearbox, and turning the wheels. If there is any resistance, strip down the 'box and look for the cause. Good luck.

Perhaps it is that big, black, bling, tin can lid over your motor.
