Default pinion questions

Alright I got everything I need to finish my clod ,except pinions (and wheel wideners for benders 12mm to 23mm adapters, hint hint, PM me if youv'e got some).
So I'm thinking about getting the RCGuy 8 turn pinions, these ones
Is anyone running these or heard if they are any good. Is there a big differencve between the 8t and 9t pinions, I'm runnin 65t motors and only want the needed amount of wheel speed to help get through the tough spots. which pitch will I need with stock clod axles.
I appreciate the help, and it will get me closer to gettin' this rig on the rocks , and postin' pics.

No it's not b/c of breaking. For some reason the 2 piece design comes off. The grub screws even if you use loc-tite. They still back off. But ever since I installed the one peice design. That as never happened.

I got RC Guy 1 pce 8 tooth pinions... They work GREAT... My only issue is I don't have the clear dust covers to visually check my lash... I have to do it by feel...

The 8t pinions get the wheel speed down with the stock can motors but keep enuff that I can spin the tire up pretty well anything I put the wheels to and also make plenty of torque, to... Altho' with the Airsoft BB's in the tires now, I may need to go to 35t motors as now I stall both ends a fair bit more than I used to...

the stock Clod gears are 32 pitch...

for the clear dust cover, I used a piece of thin lexan and cut it to fit over the opening and drilled holes so it bolts on like stock...

Take your stock black covers, cut out the raised circle, CA some clear lexan scrap from the inside and you have basically free see through covers!
