Default Front Axle Clod Stall?

I recently built a CFNN clod 16 inch wheelbase. Im using integy 55t motors and 8tooth pinions but last night when i was crawling around i would drive up to an obstacle and the front tires would start to climb the obstacle then it would stall out; and the rear axle would keep turning. I thought it was suppose to happen the other way. im using a tekin rebel 2 with hitec 645mgs and a 6 cell 1700mah battery.

any help?

Casey

Whatever axle has the most load will stall.

im thinking its not normal. i just tried it again after i checked my wiring over and once it stalls out i can pick the crawler up and the front axle still wont turn until i move the tires a little by hand to sort of jump start the motor. do you think its the motor? what could this be??

most likely is the motor. try changing it out, if that doesnt fix it, it is always nice to have a spare motor. but, i would say its the motor.

Try checking the brushes on the front motor. It sounds like a hung brush to me.

How did you lock your diffs?( are they locked) I did mine with epoxy and a little drip got onto one of the gears and it would stall on the drip every once and a while, cleaned all my gears and ran much smoother.
