I haven't seen a set of narrowed Clod axles, and to do it is going to require a fair bit of custom machine work (new axles, axle tubes, hubs, etc.)

The easiest solution, other than a different set of axles, is to look for some low offset wheels to narrow up the truck.

yes it is possible.. I have been working on a set right now, but I have a handful of projects on my plate and none of them seem to be getting done

Cut the axle shafts in half and take out the desired width. When putting them back together, put the end of your shaft as a D shape(half of it) and do the same to the other half. That way they fit together and have better strength than just cutting them in half and slapping them back together. The flat portion on the shafts will add to the strength. Same goes for the axle tubes.. You can also make a sleeve or tubing of some type to add more strength to the cut areas.

Then you just need to cut down the axle braces and slap them back together...

Just take your sweet time doing it

Nope. That pic was photoshop'd. I have files and starting production on somehting like this. I just made that pic for looks. And those wheels are Non-Offset and without CVD's. I now have Mod'ed CVD, RD400 Beadlocks and a few other little things to help with width. But I do plan on making CVD's and Axle Tubes This year for sure.

Try this works great for me, did it with a drill and dremel tool. Im at 12 1/4 with clod beadlocks, cvds and badlands. I could go even more narrow if i wanted to go back to ped wheels.

it's not alot of work at all...I have a write up on my website that Mnster did on doing that mod. Those Hex's look to be the same ones Mnster and I both did. Which would be LST2 14mm Adaptors.

so may i make a suggestion if you are planning on selling a clod axle narrowing set-up?

i am assuming you are planning at aiming these towards the 2.2 crowd, so i would suggest that you make a STRAIGHT axle tube for the rear axle!

very nice! i was sitting here looking at a set of clod axles i have to rebuild, next to an old super hornet i have, thinking that the axle shafts from the hornet just might work as decent straight shafts for a clod axle....
