Default OZ Clod build

This is my Clod build that i have been working on.
Chassis: 1 of 3 TTS-XC (tinytuffstuff)
Axles: Clod with full bearings
Lockers: RC4WD aluminium
CVD's: TTR (thundertechracing)
Knuckles: JPcustomRC

The maxx wheels are only there for now and will be replaced with Moabs.
i also need to get 120mm shocks to level out the top links. the maxx shocks arent long enough which is why the top links arent horizontal.
i had planned a wheelbase if 17.5 inches but it turned out to be 18 inches, which is why the shocks didnt fit. ill see how this wheelbase goes and adjust accordingly at a later stage. ride height is 4 inches (to skidplate) with the maxx tyres.

still have to do steering links as well, but ill wait till i have the servos mounted before i start with that.
BTA steering will be up front, havent decided if i want it at the rear yet.

anyway, this is how it sits today.
lots more to come over the following weeks.

Looks good.
The one thing I would suggest is to mount your shocks to the links themselves.
Cant wait to see it how it crawls

Those shocks will work just fine if you mount them to the links, oh and flip them upside down too.

Cool, Get some shorter shocks. It has way to much flex and will have really bad body roll/tire lift unless you straighten those shocks or at least shorten the links.

People usually flip shocks for clearance issues but for you it looks to be astetic only.

Love the side shot of the chassis. Looks super low and sleek . Oh and polished(reflection of you taking pic.lol)

Oil weight is down lower and it helps keep oil in if you blow a lower o-ring.

cut 1/4 of an inch off each of the lower links today. this levelled the top links back to horizontal.
wheelbase should now be around 17.5 inches.
need to cut a few mm off each of the top links to bring the top link mount back to vertical, its slightly too far forward which is causing 1 top link on each end to hit the gearbox casing.
also going to re-do the shock mounts. the metal came from an old microwave i pulled apart (the casing), while the metal is strong, im just not happy with the quality.
found some ultra strong pre bent metal from the Magnetron casing so im going to use that instead. just need to find the jigsaw first as tin snips arent going to cut this.

clod booster, sorry, cant give you dimensions. there were only 3 of these chassis built.
you can however get the TTS-XCV2 from http://www.tinytuffstuff.com/index.p...93f4180e717b1f
which is a revamp of this chassis.

send them an email, there is one in stock. they should have pics to send.

fixed the top links today, shortened them a touch to level out the top link mount. worked a charm. flex is a lot better and a lot smoother. also gained a touch more height as well in the process.
still havent found the jigsaw so i didnt get to make the shock mounts today.

still need some wheels and electrics but that will all be done in a few weeks after i get my tax return.
