Default New Clod Tires?

How many you guys want a new clod tires? We are thinking to make a clod version of Mudslingers. We will make other style too if there is demand/request...

I don't see much demand for them around here. I know a few guys over on myrcmt.com that would like a set. I don't see them being a big hit really. If I had the Money and was looking to produce a tire. Those wouldn't be it.

I can't speak for others, but a clod 2.2 wheel would be more useful than a tire. A beadlock wheel with the hex completely against the front face to try and reduce track width as far as possible.

I totaly argree with this^^
I own a 2.2 txt and i'm always trying to reduce the track widht as narrow as possible but the 2.2 wheels that are available at the moment just dont cut it, without some serious cutting.

Clod wheels are just to wide to be considered "Comp worthy" anymore. Many people run wheel adaptors, cvds, knuckle packs and the like I don't think I would swap back. If they came out say 3 years ago they would have been a hit.

They would also have to much sidewall and roll under the truck at the height we need it at.

I definitly think a good looking, tough, 2.2 wheel designed specifically for clod axles (and maintaining minimum width) is a winner.

I think some clod size Slingers would be cool. There probably isn't a huge market for Clod tires but the Clod is still made and there are millions of them out there, as well TXT's. Maybe alot of people would go with Clod Slingers instead of going to 40's or Maxx size tires if there was a nice tire available in Clod size. I'd buy a set.

i know id be all over something like that for my clod, but im not building it for any real "comp" or "single use" im going for a sudo ok crawler that i can bash on around my house... so big uber grippy in mud tires would rock. iv been looking as so far the knock off thornbirds are all iv seen that will do something like this. these look like a better choice. iv been debating going to a diffrent rim style to open up better tire choices.

I wouldn't mind spending a little for some 40XL type Comp specific tires.
Maybe some nicely priced 40 beadlocks as well.

If they were to be better than the Moab XLs(only real options at the moment) I'd probably pay around $80 for a set of good tires.

yeah $55 ish or a good trade:-P

You've got to be kidding me.
When Imex released the swamp dawg it sold
a ton just on looks alone, cause we all know
the rubber compound was the real seller .

Beyond this site I know a dozen that would buy them in a clod size.
Think about how long the clod has been around, and how many real
clod tires there are. The one decent clod tire is still legendary
(Proline Giant Trac). I'd buy a set and don't even own a clod at this time.

Not to mention I could finally have an excuse to build that large scaler.
