| Different Skidplate Use
I've been searching this forum and can't find a post where this is brought. I know not many people use skidplates for protecting the axle because the cases are cheap and wear down slow but I think that the point should be brought up. Since more and more people are using out-runner motors, is there a skidplate in prodution or an easy fail safe way to make one that can protect the motor itself since a rock coming in contact with the motor can cause some major damage |

Can you make some kind of wire cylindrical "cage" thing with an open end you can slide the motor into and the "closed" lets the shaft through and bolts to the the stationary motor faceplate? I would think most any small round container would work though. A cage just looks cool.

alot of people will attach a piece of lexan to the lower links. it will protect your motor and help slid over obsticals. or not get hung as easily.
