| Axle upright assembly
I'm just wrapping up my axles and in step 11 of the Tamiya assembly instructions it says to install 4 x (3 x 8mm) machine screws into the uprights. Well, I've looked, double checked, and cannot find any 3 x 8mm machine screws in my kit. I do however, have plenty of 3 x 10mm screws from bag A. I've got enough to use them instead, so my question is... how tight do these screws need to be in the uprights? If I tighten mine all the way I end up pinching the axleshafts and then they don't turn. Backing them out one mil seems to keep them free. Thoughts?

I had enough 3x8's in my kit. You could file or use a belt sander to shorten your screws a little.

you prolly used the 3x8's where you needed the 3x10's. tamiya hardly ever messes up there kit pieces.not saying its not possible.

It happens. I was missing my diff cover thing. Had to tear apart another truck to use it to finish the CR-01. I was pretty surprised. This thing... |
