Aluminum grade is 6061 and they are heavier components compare to stock, but they are mostly at the lower parts of the CR01 (which is ideal for rock crawling) Steve Wang

Thank you for your compliments. This is our first batch of production for CR01. On our next wave of parts, we will work on the side chassis plates and other option parts for it. We want to make a side chassis plate that is smaller than the kit style, while incorporating some features that allow it to be more competition crawler than scale crawler. Steve Wang

Here are some pictures of the Steering Knuckles. When Tamiya design the CR01, they made the knuckles to be "dual arm" so they can use one molding for the knuckle and allow for it to be used front/rear/left/right. We changed it to a single arm setup, which will give more clearance on the side when the truck is making tight turns (the old dual arm setup can have the arm run into the inside shock retainer/lower links area). This is a much cleaner setup for the CR01 Steve Wang |

And finally the center skid plate. This has a smaller footprint than the stock piece: We have two more option parts coming next week: Front bumper bracket and alum. hub carriers Steve Wang |

do you think you guys will be making some beadlock rings for the wheels? It's a shame the plastic ones should have been aluminum |

Great point. Don't anybody buy the 3Racing plate on ebay. The underside of the plate has HUGE design flaws that would make sliding over a rock surface get hung up. Not to mention the completely sharp non chamfered edges on the entire part.... STRC, please show us a shot of the underside of the transmission plate.

I really like the black anodized parts you are offering. Are you guys going to make parts for people that retain the original cantilever design from Tamiya?

Hi Guys, A quick update on the skid plate. Unfortunately we too did not countersink them (honestly an oversight on my part in the design process) however, we will check and see if we can have them reworked at the factory and countersink them. The only problem might be the holes towards the outter edge. Because we try to make the skid plate as small as possible footprint wise (the stock one was really long) we might not have enough material left on the edges to countersink the outside holes. I will find out and keep you guys updated. Steve Wang |

have you guys considered making the cantilever mounts in aluminum? i really like the look of it and it gives the truck a nice identity. Id love to see some sweet trick bits for that very complex and cool looking suspension. I am sure not alot of people like the cantilever but id buy that in a heart beat |
