looks really cool love the color! what are your thought on the tires? i like the look of them but havent bought because everyone says they're crap... they do well in dirt? im thinking about using them for dirt/mud and having a back up for rocks. thanks

Great job on the body!! RC4WD tires? Almost as tall as the Tamiyas? Like the photos. |

| The reason for the suck factor is that the lugs are too close together, not enough space between them. When they conform to the rock, the lugs close up the gaps leaving a slick area that doesn't have any biting surface. Take a lot of time and dremel open the grooves on the center blocks a little bit and they'd be OK.

These are the best off road tire. Hands down. They suck for rock crawling but for a scale all around tire they can't be beat. |

steve: thanks, yes rc4wd crushers. enforce: thanks, i got sold on the looks really cool, it really does no good on rocks, the lugs close on compression and becomes slick. would really love to test them on mud though. jeephead: enforce is correct, its really tall. the body is on the highest mount on the posts, the front has a lot of flex coz of the dual rate shocks, but the rear is stiff because of the scale shocks(the internal spring is hard) i would change them but i'm holding out for a new 2.4ghz rx. o yeah the rear tires rub on the body on flex and so does the front. thanks for appreciating. Mriswith: that's a great idea. i might try it thanks. pwccrawler: thanks man |

RC4WD told me that they are coming out with some softer internal springs for the scale shocks in like a week or so. I am also using those shocks on my CR-01, and the stock ones are too hard for a sensible flex. I ran RC4WD 2.2 Rock Crushers (soft compound) on mine first as well, but swopped 'em for RC4WD Mud Slingers (soft compound also). I am currently rebuiding my axle/link/shock set up, so haven't tried ''em yet. Nice work on the body! |

enforce: glad to help simensays: thanks, yeah thats great news on the springs, i was thinking of the same thing on the mudslingers and a set for rocks too. wanted to extend my wheelbase more but the punisher shafts have limited length for it. do you still use cants? i moved my rear cants in (close to the upper links) so i could use still use them. |

Nope, I removed the cantilevers, and am currently rebuilding the suspension setup quite a bit. I am cleaning up the whole enchilada, and removing as much parts as possible for optimal performance and looks. More here I am making a custom upper link mount, that also serves as a shock mount for the rear (not the modded servo tray in the pics), and plan on shortening the WB a little. If you want to extend the WB - try swopping the drive shaft with a High-lift rear shaft. You can modify it like shown here to fit your desired length. simen: thats a snappy rig you got there. thanks for the info, appreciate it. i did shorten my wb one time, but getting over that obstacle made it roll over so went back to making it longer at least 12".

I went for Crushers based on looks too. I wanted scale, and I heard from somewhere that they cope quite well with snow. Looking forward to finding out in a couple of months. |

Looking good but a question. Whats the benefit of rising the upper links on the axles ?

Looks good Jadama! Did you remove the inner springs from the shocks? Yeah, I accidentally deleted the whole thread and haven't bothered to write it again. |
