| tamiya diff lock and shaft front or rear?
any ideas? i could only afford one for the time being, does it reduce the slop in the diffs at all? front or rear? i am thinking of popping it in the rear, not really sure why though..... any suggestions or theories are very welcome, i think nick (860crawler) has one in his. |

No insight here. I will say any urge I've had to unlock my diffs has gone by the wayside within minutes of doing so. In my Creeper, I did the FLM thing and eliminated the diff gears with a big chunk of machined aluminum. Haven't had a problem in the CR01 though. If you do put it in, I would be interested in your opinion of doing so. |

I have it in the rear of mine and it gets rid of a lot of slop, I would recommend putting it in the rear as that is where most of the stress goes under acceleration.

I didn't end up getting it. When the splines stirpped out on my rear axle I just got a new diff kit since it was immediately available. I still am definitely looking into getting it. Even though I haven't ever unlocked my axles, I still like the fact that I could if I wanted to, but these are tempting since it will potentially reduce that little bit of rollback inherent in well used axles
