Default Gearing with an Integy 35t

I am thinking of picking up an Integy 35t motor, can you guys recomend a good pinion to go with it ? I am thinking a 16 or 17 tooth would be good? Lemme know what you guys have had good luck with !

Hmm well ill take a stab at this. I had fifty five turn with the stock pinion. I would drop two teeth off that. I currently have a 35 turn but my cr-01 had an R2D. I think it has a 15 tooth pinion now and it rips along pretty good. Thats the best I have for you.

I have an integy 35 turn with the factory pinion and it runs fine. If you are curious it is not much slower than the factory 27 turn but is much better on my small rock course. Better throttle control.

Same here, running a 35t with stock gearing, works perfect IMO.

With the stock pinion (19T?) you still get some roll on steeper inclines even with the drag brake on the Rooster. You could try one with less teeth and eliminate that.

I've switched mine up recently and I have a 21T pinion on a 35 turn Tamiya motor. Its working pretty well.

I have that same setup and i love it i have the stock pinion and it is amazing i actually can out pull a buddy of mine in his axial dedicated crawler! (we tied the axles together and said 123 and i pulled on his rig like a B*tch in forward and reverse gears) i will always use that setup!
