Default Thinking of buying one....

I am looking to buy a CR-01 because Tower has them so cheap right now! I live in Delaware, so there aren't many rocks to crawl. I converted my WK to a trail rig setup, but I am just not happy with it. Overall, is everyone happy with your Tamiya's?

At $250 minus $25 off and free shipping you almost can't go wrong!

I don't have one, I've never driven one or even seen one in person, but they look so fun. And every review I've read has said lots of great things about them. Typically the reviews state that the CR-01s "crawl better than you think".

Thats a great deal! It's cheaper than my cost on the kit. I think they may have a goof up there. I would buy it before they catch it and raise the price

I love mine, I dont think built per instructions it would keep up with a ax10, but a few tweaks and mods it would be right there, the only real down side I see with mine is lack of turning radius on 2ws, on 4ws it's great, I am still waiting for some cvd's to come out then see how much better steering is gonna be.
For a semi scale, you gotta love it, but if your gonna try to comp it plan on spending some, not much but more then say a ax10 would need.
If you love the looks go for it

They just lowered the price again, so I just bought one! This price is crazy since the Unimog is still 399.99......

i just ordered one from tower. they have them for $250 then i had a coupon code for $40 dollers off plus i get free shipping so $210 wasnt bad i have pleanty of extra electronics to put in it. i use a ax-10 for my comp but i figure this would make a great scaler.

I have mini z's a revo and a slash and my cr-o1 gets driven the most. Not many rocks in east Texas so I had to make my own. I love it.

That is a good deal at TH. I've monitored their price, and it seems to go up and down every day. Today is the lowest of all though.. 242.

Back up to 389.97 today, I bought it last night at $242 minus the $40 off for Tower members. This is my first CR01, can't wait to see it.

BTW, first post for me, been a lurker for many years, will start posting my collection soon (a couple of cheetahs, x311's, hummers, f350 and more.)

I bought mine for 242.00 as well. I bought the CR-01, 2 pairs of tires, and a 35T crawler motor for 260.00 with the 50.00 off deal.....you cant beat that. I almost fell over when I look today and it was back to full price. We got one hell of a deal!!!!!

Im waiting for the wrangler kit to come out I hope they do the same with that. 364 today for the FJ kit is better than 389 but still inflation sucks!! Come on towers get it together already!!

It's always best to wait with Towers and check regularly. Once they over-order, they correct prices accordingly. The Pajero is 123 right now-
