Default Tamiya CR-01 with Chevrolet Silverado SS body and RC4WD 1.9 Rock Creepers

Finally, after 2 weeks of waiting, I got the 1.9 Creepers .

Some work left to do still, got to put some weight on the rims and glue the tires on, but here are a couple images.

More here

Too bad I can't drive it until probably 1-2 months because of the snow :-(.

Thanks for watching!

Probably can't get any farther than one inch with the creepers :-D. They are so narrow compared to the CR-01 tires.

That's a good looking rig you have put together. Good all around choices.

Looks great!

I have been debating about switching my CR01 over to 1.9's, but have not decided yet.

Looks good man some of those shots make it look tiny as hell lol.

I just finished putting my land rover kit together. Still waiting on electronics and i have no idea what to use, just know it has to be lipo friendly.

After noticing this today...

I replaced the shaft with Traxxas T-Maxx shaft (they've never failed in any crawler I've had)...

Hopefully this won't break in this rig either :-).

Also moved the lower and upper rear links a bit to make the wheelspace a bit longer so the body would fit better.

I don't know how you guys do it. I have yet to twist my driveshaft like that and I've had the truck bound up pretty good. Even still, those Junfac driveshaft in the other thread are making me want to buy something new!

I even drive quite carefully and yet still I have managed to twist it. I was surprised to see it twisted, luckily I had t-maxx driveshafts in the drawer :-).

Looks great. Good job ditching those stupid 2.2's that everyone is doing.

Great job on your rig! That is sharp! Got a part number for the Traxxas shafts? Do the fit good or do you have to modify them a bit?

I used Traxxas #5458X and #4951X. I had to grind about 1mm from the end of yokes and then put a spacer between the yoke and diff/tranny to make it a snug fit. Also had to cut the shafts a bit.

Lowered the rear end by replacing the hard barrel springs with the softer (black) barrel springs...

I think it looks much better now :-).

Default Icy crawling and tire paintings

Went crawling (or should I say 'scaleing') outside a couple days ago... It was very icy, but the Rock Creepers had surprisingly good grip. I'm really waiting for the snow to melt and the plain rocks to appear .

Images from outside...

Today after work I went to the mall and had this crazy idea to paint the 'Rock Creepers' -texts white. Well, off I went to the shop and bought a white pen. Here's the result :-D.

They turned out quite nice...
