Well, I waited long enough! Saturday night I began building CR-01. This is what I got in it:

Novak Rooster Crawler ESC w/fan
Novak 55 motor w/Deans Connectors
Tamiya Metal Side Rails
Tamiya motor heat sink
Metal frame ends
Metal skid plate
Losi 4" shocks w/60w oil
Hextronik 170oz BB Metal servos front/rear
Kimbrough Servo Savers
4 Wheel Steering (Left,Right,In,Out,Crab)
Futaba 6EX w/R607FS Radio
Duratrax Piranha 3000 NiMH Battery
Stock Tires with 4oz lead in both fronts and 2oz in each rear.
Frame coated with black crinkle paint

I have not gotten body painted yet but will soon. I will post more pictures soon. Let me know what you think so far.

I think I am going to powder coat my frame now! It looks great! Also want to ditch the cantilever system and use some High-Lift dampeners with the stock springs. I love the aspect of realism.

I have a second frame coming, I am going to powder coat it with a textured black. Would have done it to this one but did not feel like waiting to dig out all the gear..HA! I plan in coating the Tamiya bent links (When they come in) as well. I will post some shots when we get it done.

Thanks Nick, got my spare frame today. Hopefully we will fire up the blaster and oven and get the rails and links done in a textured black this week.

Where are you getting the Tamiya bent links from? I've looked on Tower but they show them as Discontinued?

Your frame raills look great, I painted mine before I built the thing.

Thanks.....Tom

Its funny that Tower doesn't want to carry it so they say its discontinued. They do that on a bunch of stuff.

Have you tried eBay? I typed in Tamiya 54106 and Tamiya 54107 and found a couple stores that have them there.

Also try OP1106 and OP1107, those are also part numbers on the package

You could always pay full price on Tamiyausa if worst comes to worst.
