Talking Casper's CR-01

I just picked this kit up last week and love it! I decided to chop the body wasn't really into my original paint job.

Mods so far are Tamiya:
carbon steel propeller shaft 85mm & 95mm
bent lower arms front & rear
aluminum shocks
reinforced drive shaft & diff lock
setting stabilizer kit (only running the softest one on the rear only)
21T pinion gear
pentagram wheels
aluminum bead locks
vise crawler tires (soft)
rooster esc
35T cr tuned motor
couple of 5000MaH lipo 28C batteries (for the long hauls)

I'm about almost done just waiting on some scale accessories to arrive for final fitment.

Get some shorter rear body post and you'd be set.

I really like the new FJ body on there! What shell is that? You got some nice bling on there too.

For my car I had to cut the roof section off following the lines starting behind the front windows. Then from the back section I cut where the curved section starts. I used the extra plastic I had to make a bed and sealed everything together with plastic cement. I also removed the fenders as well.

It took some time and it isn't all that clean my first time doing something like this. It really isn't hard just need some steady hands and patience.

I got the decal off an old Tamiya touring car I used to have based on the TA-03F chassis.

Good to see you on multiple boards 860 you've helped me out a few times now

Thanks!

My original thread is here from when I got the CR-01. After checking it out for a while here and on RCU and elsewhere I finally joined the site

Any reason why you used the front arms (OP 54106) for the rear of the car?

Nope I messed it up and got it reverse. Funny you mentioned it I just changed it around a few days ago after realizing what I did. :-(
