| HPI Bodies will fit Better. Quote:
I hate to say it. Yes, I agree HPI body is a little longer and wider than Tamiya bodies. I should know, I installed a Defender 90 body on my CR-01 chassis and it fits better IMHO......... BUT(a big BUT) Tamiya has more details on their bodies than any manufacturer and they look really good for 1.9 scalers. BTW - Don't get me wrong. I really like the Scout body. I actually going have to stick with my new PL CGR Scout w/tuber frame..... See - What do you think of HPI scale relative to CR-01 Chassis? I think the HPI Scout fits better then the Bronco body does. I think the Bronco body by Tamiya is a tad short. I do like the light buckets, the grill inlets in the hood. I don't like the rear bumper and how the top was built. Tamiya scored with the Toyota. Was hoping for the same with the Bronco. I need to see it in person I suppose. The mirrors on the Bronco are cool too. |

For tire clearence I'd imagine. When I put the HPI Bronco on mine I had to limit suspension travel to get the body down lower and not be constantly rubbing tires. Could've trimmed more aggresively but I wanted to keep the body and flares more or less in tact.

Gee, I dont know guys, it seems pretty right to me. We didnt get the Bronco here in OZ but from what I can see it looks very close with only the rear of the flares being opened a little to fit bigger tires. |

Sweet looking pics of the 1:1's! Back to the lexan body. The rear seems a little short by the bumper. May be the way it was cut out. And the top and rear windows dont' look right to me. LIke the window decal is just a little to small,? I still likey though. |

Those tires pictured have got to be better than the tires that came on my CR01, I have been saving those in case I need to throw something at someone. That body is pretty sick and I can't wait to change up my FJ body. It is looking rough.

No confirmed release date as of yet. The rumor is it will be released in June. |

Really just a shame it wasn't a newer style bronco. The 70's bronco shell is pretty old news to the scaler crowd. The HPI shell looks like a more accurate representation. I do give them props for the hardtop though.

Agreed, HOPEFULLY HPI will see this and build another EB with the hardtop.

Saw this Bronco at a crawling GTG at Vasquez Rocks in Calif this weekend. THat pic of the Bronco outdoors on that link was shot there. I will tell ya, after seeing this rig in person. Aside from the non scale not even close to nice chassis, the body is killer!~!.. Looks very nice and scaled out. We set my HPI body side by side and the Tamiya looks better. The top sets is apart. I thought it was too small, but, in the real 1:1 world, my HPI and wheelbase is more like the Fullsize Bronco. The wheelbase for the Tamiya is perfect. Definately will be picking up a couple of body sets when released. It will be nice to have an EB Bronco that doesn't look as big as an F-350 in scale terms. |

I don't suppose you got any pictures of the two bodies side-by-side? Exactly how do the two compare in size? Is the HPi shell Waaaaay bigger or just a little bit?
