Default Strengthen Axles??

Righto,

Turned around to grab something the other day and dragged the 40 off the bench.
It landed right on one corner and SNAPPED the frickin axle.

Has any changed to strengthened axles(Tamiya or otherwise) and how how have they lasted?

Also a pic or two of the ol girl in action in Toodyay here in West Aust.

You know what I love about these things?
You don't have to carry them anywhere, they get there themselves!!!

Haven't tried any strengthened axles yet. It probably was just a fluke occurence that they broke since they are pretty strong. Mine has fallen about 3 feet down onto the corner of one wheel and nothing broke. I've also had all the weight hanging by one tire and I didn't snap an axle.

I'd vote fluke as well, mine has taken bad tumbles and gotten bound up pretty good without any damage to the axles themselves.

Default busted axle

Hmm, OK.

I was lucky, I had a TL01 on the shelf and it uses the same axles (I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Tamiya 4wd cars use same axles).

Might see how I go with this one before I rush out and buy more bits.

Thx for the feedback, fellas.

I keep breaking all the internals, pinions, bevel gears, axles themselves.
I dont think theyre the strongest axles out there.

I've finally broken the first part on my CR-01 and I've had it for just over a year. One of my splined driveshaft peices finally twisted to the point of popping apart. So much for failing right out of the box. They had a pretty good run for me and I use the hell out of my rig.
