| CR01 Prop shaft question
I installed a pair of metal prop shafts yesterday. Afterwards, the truck would bounce at low speeds. I figured it was due to the steep shaft angle and the metal shafts. I repositioned the links to reduce the angle and it got better but didn't go away. I then tried another set of metal shafts and the same thing occurred. Any of you experience this with metal shafts? The shafts I used were Integy and Hot Racing. Thanks

Go with Wraiths. I have the 3Racing shafts on the Frankencrawler, and they've been holding up OK, i just don't care for the slotted pin design now and with the torque monster in there, I forsee some issues. Well, maybe, who knows I could be wrong. I put the Wraiths on my jeep ($35 from an Ebay chop shop) and they are far smoother overall. |

The HR shafts seem to be working fine. The Integy shafts are so out of balance they can't be used. One of them wouldn't even slide all of the way down, they're in the garbage now. I will pull the shafts out of my Wraith and give them a try.

I have the older junfacs very smooth and stay locked in with a dab of red loctite! The newer ones have a metal snap ring to keep the pins in if the set screw come loose.
