There is a thread of a nearly 100% aluminum CR a few pages back. I don't think the guy actually runs it though, there isn't a scratch on it, pure bling factor

I can't find it either. Every term I try says no results, the search engine blows. Edit: I found it about 6-7 pages back. Its called After A Year It's Done Last edited by 860Crawler; 04-23-2010 at 01:37 PM. |

looks useless though, honestly, i wouldn't waste my money on aluminum housings, simply for looks and at $50 for each....you could put that money towards motor, tyres, driveshafts, springs, etc.

| Absolutely. I've got lots of aluminum on mine already as you know and some money spent on stuff I can't even use. I'll probably start making stuff for my rig next.

Yeah those are the biz though, they look a lot more realistic than the boxy ones from the other thread.

My God! Those are nice. I like the realistic wheel bolts too. Bit too spendy for me though.

A bit of material ground out of chalices improves matters - I think I've now got more than I ever had with std axles.

A couple of photos showing amount of steering lock I have currently achieved - I assume Komodo and RC channel axles are the same thing - they certainly look the same. |

Those axles just are superb... but for $250 ???? WOW you have to like the CR-01 a lot to spend that amount on just a pair of axles. I love them but I couldn't justify that kind of money.

I paid about $170 for them - not cheap, but pretty much bolted straight on.
