| New axle housings?
Anyone have a source for new axle housings? I broke a shaft which pushed the C off the housing, which in turn ruined the two holes for the screws that hold the C on. All i could find was an aluminum housing from 3Racing (stellamodels, $53), and i swear i read some time ago that they dont work too well but ill be damned if i can find the thread anymore (anyone confirm this?). I couldnt find plastic replacement housings on tamiya's site (amongst others) which i find kind of odd. |

I've read mixed reviews about the aluminum ones. But is this the plastice one you're looking for? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUSH7&P=Z Good luck Giz |

I would just take down the parts information and shoot Tamiya an email. No way they don't have any of these left. Giz |

Maybe this is it? http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...uct-id=9400723 Says "B" parts, and that's what the axles are. Dunno since there is no pic. Or you could just upgrade both and go different direction, http://www.junfac.com/shop/index.php...roducts_id=336 Good luck with your repair! Giz |

I dont know if this helps, but ive done the same, riping the screws out of the axles; What i did is drilled out the holes ,so the screws go through, dremmeled away the remains of the thread moulding inside the axle casing, and CA glued 3mm nuts inside the axle cases for the screws to screw into. Works well, and its a solid mount, instead of the soft plastic. |
