| TLT Axles
Is there anyplace the will sell just the complete axles for a TLT? Got a scale chassis made and mounted under my 1/10 matt fransis stadium truck body and need a new set of 1/18 scale axles.

and you would probably spend more than $79.95 to build up new axles from parts.

Buy the time you get all the parts for complete axles you would have a $100 in parts. Just buy a kit and sell off the parts not used. BTW: This is for the mods. Can we get a "were to get TLT axles" notice?? It seems like we get this question a least once a week. :? |

Think about what your asking and read this thread again! If you can build your own axles from TLT replacement parts then that would mean you can buy just the axle shafts and replace them.

The Rock buster axles do break. I've busted one and Wheels has busted a few. He even broke a stub shaft. The max climber inner shafts are available thru tower and will work with the rockbuster stubs. Though shortening the female yoke is recommended.

it just seems kind of stupid, that you have to buy a whole new truck just to get an axle....maybe i dont want a TLT...hmm why would just a axle cost more then the truck its self? which has 2 axles already.... im confused Last edited by d-ballz; 06-06-2005 at 03:29 PM.

are the axles on the max climber really that much better then the rockbusters? cuz thats the only reason im having a hard time trying to decide which one to get. if the axles arent really much different. ill just buy the rockbuster. but if they really are alot better on the max climber..ill buy that one.

I think you are confused as to what you are calling an axle. What is considered an "axle" is the casing, the shafts, the diffs, and a couple of bearings. To buy all of that seperate for the front and rear will put you over the $80 mark of a new truck from ultimate hobbies. When someone says they broke an axle it generally means they broke a shaft inside the axle housing. A part like that shouldnt be much more than $10 I would think.

Axle casings 2 and screws (This is a luck out the screw bag these screws are in is huge) http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGPN1&P=7 28.99 diff cover (you need 2 of these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGHJ8&P=7 2.49 ering set http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGJ75&P=7 1.60 diff gear set need 2 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGK41&P=7 4.29 tinyass screws need 3 sets total of 6 screws 2X5mm screws machine thread http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...79&FVPROFIL=++ not sold youll have to resource these at ace or something. Ring gear need 2 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...02&FVPROFIL=++ 6.49 bevel gear shaft http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...80&FVPROFIL=++ 4.79 Diff shafts youll need 2 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...77&FVPROFIL=++ youll need 12 5X11 bearings. I think a 10 pack was 13$ so in total its about 110$ plain housings youll need 2 + screws and nuts. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...19&FVPROFIL=++ 4.19 maybe this will solve the issue??? ;p just buy the damned kit people!!! and ita 110$ without the knuckles thier kingpins and other small bits that add on to them. As well youll have to buy links and a mess of things that you can scrounge out of the kit. Odly people mention diffrent shafts but the parts list as rockbuster even though I am using a maxclimber parts list. I have the maxclimber since I ordered my stuff before this 80$ car deal came up. hehe seems it was only like 3 days between me clicking buy that this showed up GRRRRR lol well hope this was informational or something -_- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=TAMC0202&P=X parts exp list. take a look at the body lol a nsx??? Wow, that was a lot of work when you could have used the list from the FAQ which has the price/parts outlined already
