No, only the electric pede, rustler or bandit tranny will work. Or build your own tranny or a e-maxx tranny or ?????? what ever you can come up with.

This has been asked before.... search for it a bit. Someone said the nitro tranny is beefier, but you're still gonna have to figure out how to adapt the motor/gears.

what clutch? the nitro sport doesnt have a clutch in it. as soon as you turn the spur gear the wheels move.

I think what he is refering to is the piniion side of the tranny. The clutch is contained on the shaft of the engine. Finding a pinion of the proper pitch would be hard or finding a way to stuff a standard pitch spur onto the tranny for electric motor.

Wrong! The nitro Pede/Rustler tranny works, you just have to be creative and make a motor mount. No big deal! You can use Traxxas part #3693, pede spur gear adaptor,($2.89 @ tower) to mount the ANY PITCH spur gear of course. Doing this eliminates the slipper clutch. The only difference is the mounting pattern. You JB weld the diff as normal, uses the same sliders and joints. The best part is that they are cheaper and more abundant on ebay. They are also smaller, more compact and like PWT said, probably stronger as they take the abuse of the gas motor. I paid $15 for the one I have. Check on the Traxxas site to verify that the parts list for your tranny is the same as the nitro pede. might be some differences.
