Default New(to me)Tuber pics & questions for the bruiser guys

new addition to my small scale family. john boyer chassis/TXT tranny/bruiser axles. i got it from rockpiledriver, and assured him it was going to a good home!

bruiser guys-
i need a right front inner axle shaft to replace the broken one. if any of you have a spare, please pm me. also, are there spacers/adapters that will make the front axle width the same as the rear? what about adapters to run different wheels? thanks in advance for the help! hope you dig the pics!

you can buy hubs that are locked that have a standard hex, i might have axle, do you need stub shafts, or the inside shaft with ring gear on it? rc4wd might have adapters for the wheels, i forgot where i got mine, also bruiserbuilder.com forest there has alot of parts.

i would do like aguilar3 (i think that is who did it) did on clodtalk. he used two front axles and had 4ws. this would solve your width problems.

Yeah,That was me
I used 2 frt cases for 4wheels steer and also added a set of Delrin wideners since the frt cases are much narrower then the rear cases

Delrin spacers

Before

after

on this Hilux/Bruiser Hybrid,I also added delrin widener/spacers to even out the frt cases with the rears

Gregrocks...

Nice tuber, but the links (and driveline) seem a bit steep.

I see that the rear axle is rotated so the pinion is up.

Bring'm down some...it'll lower your CG as well.

thanks for the suggestions, guys! i might ditch the bruiser axle set-up and use TLT axles instead. still thinking about it.

super sancho, i'll post some close up pics of the upper link mounts later today.

What broke?

Did the pin fall out of the one end? Or is the other end sheared off?

I never took it apart

You can get the axle for around 10-15 bones on ebay...Ive bought a few NIB units for $25 myself

btw,The servo mount and link mounts are pretty sweet looking...took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do with my setup ...
