Default Scooter: Griz's Team HH/Team RCC GC-1

So I've been running Scooter with this GC-1 chassis for many months now and I can say with all honesty that this chassis is truly one of the greats. The stability is amazing and has really worked well with my driving style. I think I've got the weight dialed in really well now and it's working just great.

I've got to thank team Holmes Hobbies, Team RCCrawler, Gatekeeper, and the sponsors of Team RCC:

When I first switched to the GC-1 I had just built my split 8 battery packs and didn't want to give them up, so I modified the front suspension from the get-go.
I had to build a custom front servo plate because the servo broke the passenger side mounting post off the axle. I bent this up starting with a piece of 2" x 2" x 0.060" aluminum angle stock. You can see how it screws to the axle housing near the link mounts as well as the axle posts. I've had no problems at all with this design.
I used the front upper links from my SW2 (Traxxas 54mm turnbuckles) and they fit perfectly. This gave me a double triangulated front suspension, which kept all the characteristics of the GC-1's original design, but allowed me to keep my knuckle packs.

Thanks guys!
I wanted to go with a camo theme to match the rest of the CO Team RCC guys but it didn't work out. I've got no complaints about this body though, FTR does some amazing airbrush work.

I like it, your upper link location up front is interesting on a GC-1.

It sure does work well, no more loosening screws and no breaking posts. Thanks Rckcrwlr.

Thanks Scott, I tried to cut it so it would still have a nice look to it.

Thanks Stormin, it was done out of necessity but it really seems to work well.

Thanks Blue-beard.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen the video, here's one I made with Scooter at the local spot. This was when he had the Subaru Brat body.

Looks good Grizzly. I have been experimenting with a new way to do the camo and still get the shadowing. When i get moved and caught up i will paint one up for ya so you get what you originally wanted.

That's way to pretty of a rig to enter in a comp Chris, you should put it on a shelf for the family to admire for years to come. It keeps getting better each time I see it, nice work buddy.
