Default My "Viper" TLT chassis

After picking up a TLT project truck a few weeks ago, I wanted an after market chassis for it, so I could run a Stampede tranny. I shopped around for one, but found that none were available at the time, so I decided to design and build my own. It is using the tranny in the laid down position, the battery will sit sideways across the chassis at the front. I have to build a set of top link mounts for both the front and rear. I still need to decide on what shocks to run?? Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions or comments.. How about the ride height?, Shocks?, etc..?? Here are the results so far:

Side plates:

First mock up:

Plates after sandblasting:

Close-up after blasting:

Ride height:

Close-up:

Tranny assembled in chassis:

Thanks
Martin
As a side note.. It is not a good idea to sandblast in 100d heat in full cover, hood, leather gloves, coveralls………..

that chassis looks sick! Lets see some pics of it at least as a rolling setup.

I have no plans on selling any. I just like to make them for myself. I built this only using a drill, scroll saw, belt sander, and a dremel. The only specility item I used was the sandblaster..

i really like the sandblasted finish. that'd be a nice way to hide all my ugly tool marks. (although rock rash does a fair job, at least on the skid plate).

as for shocks, i like Evader rear shocks. they're threaded aluminum and only $18 a pair. they do tend to leak, so you might want to replace the inserts with Losi pieces.
