Default Gear pitch on stock tranny?

Whey what is the gear pitch on the stock tlt-1 tranny i kno its not 48 cus my normal pinions wont work. so what is the pitch on the pinion and the spur...hopefully this is the same lol.

Its 48p.... Metric, not standard. You can either buy some metric pinions or just replace the stock spur gear with a standard 48p spur gear.

the technical name for it is 0.4 pitch. Tamiya and Kyosho use it. it's also known as "metric 48 pitch" but that leads to confusion.

Traxxas spurs fit the Tamiya shaft. if you're gonna use the stock tranny (and i don't know why you would want to) bolt on a Traxxas spur and you can choose from a wide world of real 48 pitch pinions.

k kool i was just wondering because i dont have tons of money for upgrades quite yet so im doing the best with what i have. lol metric 48 pitch RRR why cant we all use one god forsaken measuring system... thanks guys.

If you already have standard pinions, then just get a standard spur to put on it. I used a HPI 96 tooth spur on my stock tranny with no mods. Here is the link to it...
