Default locking center diff tlt?

i locked my front and rear diff with jb weld, i greased up my center diff and crammed it in there, after ihad it all togeather, it was freespinning to easy when trying to crawl stuff so i took my dogbones out and tryed tighting it but its still not enough, at this point without ripping the whole thing apart, how can i lock or at least stiffen the hell out of my center diff?

this tlt is to awesome, my first crawler.

chances are if you tighten it too much, something is gonna break. Its probably better to just take it apart and JB weld it...

like rcguy says, if u tighten it up too much u will more than likely snap the bolt that holds the whole thing together, the best way to lock it is with a vertigo locker

http://www.vertigoperformance.com/pr...txt1/1108.html

or if you can get hold of a TA04 gear diff u can jb weld that.

Tear it down, remove all the grease and than clean it all with denautered alcohol, replace the diff balls with slipper pegs re-assemble and lock it down.

Than go get a pede tranney.

If you insist on keeping your stock tranny then jb weld it, or get the locker. But jb weld will work just as good if you let it cure. But yeah you're gonna need to take it apart inorder to jb weld it good. Oh and dont tighten it too much, you'll strip the alen head and be forced to do a crappy jb weld job. Believe me, i've been there.

How would JB weld lock the stock TLT diff? It's just a belt drive.

I just went and tore apart my Pede and put it's tranny in... takes a little bit of work though.

it stops the belt diff from slipping. It locks it for constant 4WD unless the belt slips or breaks...which still hasnt happened to me yet...

it wont keep the belt from slipping. It keeps the center diff from using its diff action. It basically turns it into a spool. The belt can still slip or break.
