Did You Drill A Hole Through Your Tlt Output Shaft? If You Did Just Put In The Pin (long Grub Screw) And Like Iloverockcrawling Said Tighte It Way Down.

yep, you have to cut them down.

i drilled through the shaft and used the steel yokes too. use a center punch so that your drill doesnt wander around and screw up everything.

nope,
I got a set of steel yokes drilled and no issues. Yeah one side was sorta off by um .5mm so the set screw pin got really tight. just make sure to locktight em so it wont willge out. The plastic yokes will snap. I used set screws tightened em in and twisted the sucker in half. Just mill or grind down the lip on the yokes, this goes for the plastic and metal units. The hardened metal mills off pretty easily. (not so hard IMO) ;p

oh yes make sure to drill a hole VERY close to the pins dia. This will ensure more metal for strength in that pin.

I drilled mine and never had a problem with it breaking because of the hole. Oh and as for those steel outputs, unless you think your rig will have to take a bullet for you, they arent that necessary. The stock plastic ones are pretty buff, so you shouldnt have any problems with them. If i were you i would stick with plastic, and if they break move on up to the steel ones. I dont know about yall, but $20 spent unnecessarily rubs me and wrong way.

Umm.. I glued mine. Suprisingly they worked good but i will admit at the beginning i was as sceptical as you are! So far no issue's. We can all infer were doing this with TLT's...

I use the steel yokes, but I didn't drill a hole through the TLT pinion. The grub screw with the steel yokes is plenty strong. I have slowly twisted the axle's dgobone ends right off. The steel yokes are the cure-all....loctite!

well I am having troulble with my steal yokes .. i bought these Steal yokes and when i got them the ball points were way to small to fit into the traxxas sliders in which the normal balls have alot bigger tips.. did i buy the wrong ones or is there some kind of mod to fit the bigger balls into the metal yokes ?

hmm thats weird i have the same yokes on my rustler (has the same tranny and sliders as a pede) and they have worked fine for 2 yrs... ANother thing that i dont get is WHY does everyone use steel yokes... I have had absolutly no problems with my plastic yokes now that i drilled a hole in the output shaft and used the big pins.
