| my tlt/maxx layout
well i got the layout all setup. i still need to design the other chassis plate and get links made to make sure this will work. right now the chassis plate is just a cardboard template till i get my hands on some sheet metal. i may also lower it some. the chassis is setting about 2 inches off the table and looks like itll be really high once i get the tires and wheels on. its got about a 17 inch wb. going to be using: custom chassis tlt axles revo shafts maximizer beadlocks maxx swamp dawgs savage shocks and electronics from my tlt till i get money to buy other electronics o yea and a pede tranny. |

It'll be interesting. Buy LOTS of extra axles. You'll probably want some wideners too.

the blackfoot ones. they wont have more for a while by the looks of it. but you could use the p/n to find them elsewhere. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGG15&P=7 |

its cool that your getting your crawler going man, and i like to see it. IMO you are designing the wrong way though. use small axles for smaller projects, and not small axles for larger projects. in the long run bigger tires, wider axles, and a longer wheelbase is gonna start showing its wear quick and cost more money to keep running. like plays said, buy lots of axle housings. 2.2 tires and a 12.5" wheelbase is much more suited for those axles. ill stop beating the dead horse now. just keep us posted about your progress! the chassis plate looks good. |

once you get it running and want to try something else, scale it down instead of buying new axles. the tlt is a very capable machine. just keep it and get some other big axles too!!

yea if it doesnt work i might scale it down a lil bit. then ill get some clod axles and make something even bigger than what this is supposed to be. if something about any my posts dont make sence its due to a slight cuncusion from a football accident. |
