the pede tranny is super easy to lock. I wish i had taken a pic when i locked mine because it is kind of hard to explain. But anyways. open up the diff and use spacers to lift one of the planetary gears up a bit so that it is engaged with its adjacent planetary gear and also the center gear. You will have to do some trimming so the diff's plate will sit properly. It is very easy and isn't permanent and won't break free (like some methods do).

yeah yeah i know i should have used the search but i hate wading threw all the crap posts just to find 1 specific 1 im in the process of tearing the diff down right now and came up with another ? how do you lock the slipper? do you use 12 slipper pegs and crank it down as tight as it will go or is there something else that is being done to lock them you only need to space 1 of the planitary gears? one spaced planetary gear is all it takes. The way i did it was i just used a 3mm kyosho nut. it was the perfect spacing. For the spur gear...take off the slipper clutch and use this instead: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJK67&P=7 |

You could always lock the slipper the same way I did. I took the gear itself and ran some JB weld around the holes where the pads once where and then stuck it back together. It works awesome cost me nothing.

That way might be cheap for the meantime but when you strip a spur (which you probably will eventually) then you will have to buy new slipper parts to glue onto the new spur. But then again i suppose you could buy the spur adapter instead at that point. But hey its only $3. Why destroy a perfectly good slipper? You might want it later.
