Question VMG motor torque

i've had my mini giant for about a year now and have just stretched it and was wondering would a 45t motor with a 8/9tooth pinion have a lot more torque than the original vmg motor with a 9t pinion?
any help is appreciated
thanks

yes and it would probably grenade your tranny or axles. I would stick to the stock motor and use a gear reduction.
