| Say Hello to My Little Friend
I love my TLT but not many guys I crawl with run 2.2s. I had some extra Clod axles/electronics on the bench and scored a SWEET used 2.2 TCS Stick chassis. I had to fab up a few missing parts and buy one 13T pinion, now I'll have an extra 2.2, Driver Wanted. I'm very pleased with how it crawls, it cleared some steep rock faces I didn't think it could. If I had any doubts about how a Stick crawls, NO MORE I'm a believer!!! Way to go Kevin!! I still like the my TLT for a 2.2 crawler, I'll have to talk to Kevin about a full size one. It's better axle clearance keeps it from getting hung up like 2.2 Clods (I shaved and trimmed the Clod axles already). Here's some pics @ 24th Street Here's one topless 12" WB 11 1/4" Wide 5" center GC 1 1/4" axle GC TCS 2.2 Stick chassis Clod Axles w/ bearings A pair of Traxxas Big Bores w/ med Losi springs Narrowed RPMs w/Moabs 5oz weights in each front, no foams 645MGs Lathe motors and a SR 6 cell sub-C saddle pack I almost forgot, his names "Sticky". |

I don't post much in response for people and their trucks but damn... I REALLY like the way that looks, sure it's a bit dated(body) but the side shot just looks killer. I keep going back to look at it again & again. Got more pics from the outting? You need to post more since I am really diggin' the look of the rig. |

Look'n good vader, Now you have to choose txt or clod and tlt or clod for each comp...choices are good. How are you liking the moabs vs. the mashers on the AZ rocks? |

| Sticky gets new paint and other stuff....
First, I'd like to thanks for all the comments. Next, sorry it's not for sale, I like having two 2.2s. I will, however, have it avalible to drive at the comps and get togethers. When I built Sticky I had a new Chevy HD body I masked but counldn't think of a paint sceme. I wanted to use the red/black pattern on the old Clod body but with a twist. I'd recently did some blue fish scales w/flamed hood ( I call it Fish Fry) on my RC18T and liked the look. But red fish scales sounded lame. Thanks to TNT for running Lord of the Rings all weekend, Red Dragon. The other stuff I did was redo the front servo mount. I used some scrap aluminium for the new brace. It lowers the servo horn down a 1/4" which gave me better clearance for my links and better angle to the knuckle arm. It really helps, I also did this to my full size Clod. |

| 2.2 Moabs VS. M2Ks
Grover asked how I liked the 2.2 Moabs vs the old stand by Masher 2000, the jury is still out. I like how narrow they are and it's the same sticky soft rubber compound as a M2K, but.... I'm getting that slipping I get from my 40s Moabs and the sidewalls aren't as stiff. I think some hacked up foams in the rears and double sidewalls and weights in the fronts might do the trick. They hook up great, fit narrowed rims perfect, and look awesome. All and All great kicks!!! |

I have never been a huge stick chassis fan but that truck looks awesome with the old body on it.

| Time for a Tune-up
Well Sticky has been crawling up a storm since I last posted on this thread. He's held like a champ !!!! I've stripped a couple of front servo gears but that's it. I bring him to all the comps as an extra 2.2 for anyone who wants to give it a shot, it's even beat me before ( w/Kevin driving ). It did better than Buster at the last comp ( it finished !!) but he's looking a little worse for wear. Tires were the first on the list. I been grinding up an old set of cut up M2Ks and they're starting to show it. I've had the tires for a while but have been to lazy to mount them up til now. I recycled some old Pede rear rims and face cut them to make the track as narrow as possible. Then I swapped the old rock rings out and went to cutting the foams. I use the same cut pattern for the rear foams as Buster but the heavier front end on Sticky requires something a little different. While I was going through truck with the wheels off I realized why my wheels kept coming loose. I know that TXT axle stubs are longer than Clod stubs, but did you know Jugg stubs are different too ??!? After changing out the Jugg stubs for Clod stubs all was well again. |

Sweet ride, although I liked it better with the old school clod body. IMO. |
