Default Broken mount

My tlt front axel has a broken mount. The two posts where the (truss) bolts to have broken off. What can I do. Does anybody make a truss that goes all the way across and uses the other holes?

He said it was the front axle so he will probably need something to mount the servo to.....and you cant do that with a DinkyLink.

CVwindows....if those posts have broken off, you will probably need to buy a new set of case halves. They are fairly cheap and can be had from quite a few of the vendors here:

For future reference, I like to drill out the tabs on the ends of those posts and run a bolt w/ locknut through the ends and the servo mount.

Yep, no problem. Since they are so cheap, you might want to order a couple sets.

So do you drill all the way through the housing?

Basically run a bolt from inside the center section to the servo plate and then put a nut on it???

He's talking about drilling through the top of the servo mount through the tabs on the axle and running a bolt through. You can see it at the far right in this picture:

(the nut isn't tightened all of the way, but you get the idea).

Ok I got it. Now it totally makes sense and mine was not done that way so that should keep it from happening again.

Thanks

Yep, bolting down that end of the servo mount (in the picture above) will help keep the servo mount from rotating about the axle which is probably why your posts broke...

Well if your rear axle case is still intact then you can just switch axles then use the Dinky Link for the rear end.
