| Rockedup Ricky's Akrcc Ares
Thanks to Rocky and TC , I've had the fun of beening part of a Team in the making of what I think is a great chassis. The 1st think that I liked was the many adjustment holes. Everybody has their own set for their driving style. And if you don't have a set-up of your own , this AKRCC Ares chassis has the adjustment holes to let you find one. I love the skid plate with it's center groove , I'm learning to use this groove to hang on to the rocks with it, really helps to keep your line. It's killer. With skid plate going under the side plates, it keeps the metal off the rocks for a slicker ride. The AKRCC Ares has a nice low profile. I'm using the R2D and it just fits. |

I made this battery tray for the back axle. And a servo/ESC tray for the front. |

Ricky that looks spectacular I'm a forgotten TLT guy myself and every thing shaft driven seems to be all about Axial axles these days. I have been driving a SW3 for two years and it is a hard working dependable chassis. Your set up on the Akrcc Ares with the TLT axle has me interested. I especially like your link set up and the unlimited adjustably of the chassis itself. Do you have any pictures of how you did the upper link connection to the axle? Thanks Norm Last edited by Stormin2u; 11-22-2008 at 08:37 AM. |

I support a Team. Team Avery, It's my 2 sons and I. I build them and they drive them. They both run shaftys. I run a MOA. Team Avery will be running the AKRCC chassis both shafty and moa. After putting this rig together and driving it I sold on the versatility of the chassis. I drove this for a little while and I'm not sure which one to run Here' a little video of my boys 1st run with it. |

| SOON,we're working on the final details. I went berg right after the Battle Ground comp and then went to the NATS and Crawlapalooza and loven my berg. But after driving this shafty I'm really impressed with it and my boys love it. And you'll love it too. BTW I have 5 TLT base rigs.

I'm an SW guy as well. I loved the 3, had one set-up with tlt's and one set-up with berg's and loved both rigs! I can tell you from comparing the Ares chassis and the SW3, the Ares is gonna be a worker!! They are very similar, but yet different. Lots of adjustment on the Ares. I'm gonna start building mine soon, maybe tomorrow, but I loaned out an entire axle and I'm waiting to get it back to go full bore on the build. Here's a comparison of the two chassis: | |

Rick... Awsome video you did up! I again love how you got everything in pic stages. You really know what your doing dont ya! Team AVERY looks hard to beat. I hope AKRCC will be a nice addition to your family team. * YES these two chassis will be released VERY soon. This was my personal 6-7 version and the crews 2?3? idk... we wanted to take care of every little detail in the chassis(s). We wanted that R&D to be perfect for the public. Hence the number of Team members. Keep a eye out on the Vendors section for daily updates. Were getting closer. Were kinda like the tortous and the rabbit... in the end the tortous took the win. (I know corny huh. lol) |
