Default How wide to go?

I need to buy some new wheels/tires and I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to go for a wide or narrow track width.

So what track width have you found works the best? I have a set of rc4wd (about 3/4") spacers too. Is there drawback to running the wide spacers like that?

Thnaks,
Mike

TLT axles need wideners to help it be more comp. worthy.
If you are doing a scale build, Narrow is better.

I ran a TLT w/1inch widners on RC4wd wide offset and that sucker is nothing less than competitive.

The wider you make it the easier it is to diff out on things, the narrower you go the easier it is to make it thru gates in a comp. So it's all personal prefrence realy, i run a little wider in the front then rear cause I feel it tracks better.

personally i ran about a 10" track width in the front (outside of tire), and 9.5 in the rear... worked awsome for me.

Since I don't do any comps I'm thinking I'm going to go for the wider stance and see how I like it.. I'm going to go with some hpi rock gabbers to keep the diff clearance up there.

On my comp truck I run no wideners at all. I like the narrow track width. I run Pro-Line wheels and Axaila as well.

I run 10.5" front and 10" rear. I feel it helps with stability and turning radius.

As for wideners, the CVD's are 6mm, and come with wideners (at least they used too),so if the hole in the wideners you get is to small, just drill it out to fit.

Is anyone running the eritex comp heavies? I think I'm going to go with them, but I'm not sure about the offset of them.

Any pix?

Thanks again
