| bevel gear, ring gear mesh
i was wondering if you have to shim the bevel gear in any way, cause right now it is slipping, or maybe i stripped out the gear, i havent checked it out yet but im still curious about shimming it?

Yes you can and should shim both the pinion and ring gear in the TLT axles.

Yup like posted above it's a good idea to shim the ring and pinion gears for a little tighter mesh.

If it's slipping there is a very good chance it is already toast. I usually slide 1 Traxxas fiber washer under the pinion on my axles to get the perfect shimage. Traxxas #1985 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJJ88&P=ML |
