Default bj/gc/compish rig..

Since my 2 old school pede trannys found a good home in my truggy crawler project, I finally got an excuse to pick up a more 2.2 crawler worthy Axial tranny. I've tried to build a compish type rig b4, but because of the bulky pede tranny they never really turned out the way I wanted...anyways this is the my first really serious try to build something good..

Took me 2 days of experimenting, brain storming, cutting, drilling, and filing to get this far..(most of my builds I did in a day eye balling everything..lol..maybe that why I never succeded)..well not done yet, but finnally got to the point where I can at least take it off the jig...Yeah I stole ideas or was inspired from the BlackJack and GC chassis..

awesome!
you don't see many custom chassis any more... glad to see someone still using what they've got to make things work...

Yeah, I think making most of what I can is the fun part!

finished the Sammy body that I've been waiting to use on a crawler, but not too crazy about it. think it looks a little small for the wb..

I think the body looks good on there. It looks like a real sammy rock buggy. Nice job on the chassis also. Keep up the good work.

P.S. is that rear cage made out of tie rod ends?

yup made from rod ends, alumi tube, and some threaded rods. Not sure how its gonna hold up screwed to the body though.

Dang the tie rod cage looks good! Actually the whole rig looks really good. Way to work what you got.

got a little work done..

had enough extra parts in the parts bin to put together a pede clutch for my Axial tranny. Axial stuff is limited and expensive over here, had to pay $8 for just a Axial spur gear..anyways now with this clutch set up I got more options so I upped the spur gear count a little.

also made an old school dig out of a shock body. Not sure if I'm gonna install it yet. Still need a 3ch radio and might just get a Hot Racing dig unit instead.

Went to the LHS today and they finally got the RCTRAX dig unit for an ax10 tranny..Did try to get my homemade one to work, but there just wasn't enough room on the chassis for it.

everything in the bag.

other then having to completely reverse the chassis and links, the install went together ok..tried out the shifting on the regular steering channel of my radio and it shifted pretty smooth so far.

locked in driver mode..

locked in dig mode..

and yeah there is a free wheel shift in there somewhere..

now for the fun part of trying to program my 3pm..

Your truck looks niceway better than my rig

How much would you want to sell the dig/driveshaft?

If you don't want to sell it i'm fine with that

Thanks!..If you lived close by I would just give you the drive shaft, but since the parts I used are old and about to snap, I don't think its even worth the money needed to send it.
