| Pretty sure this is a good deal. Any thoughts.
A guy I know has a crawler he built out of a TLT. It has a junfac conversion to make it 1/10th scale is what i was told, Proline Moabs, HPI wheels and a tamiya belt drive trans( he said a lot of people don't like them), and It also has a early bronco body on it. He said 100 for the rolling chassis but i'm gonna talk him down a bit I hope. What do you guys think?

the only thing worth keeping is the axles. and its he's using a junfac chassis and the stock TLT trans the axles are no doubt completely stock as well. you could buy it, throw away everything but the axles and then pour another $100 or so into the axles to make them bullet proof. or you could cruise around the for sale section here on RCC and buy a set of TLTs with damn near everything done to them for $80-100 and be in the same position you would be if you bought that truck...

I've got a Stampede sitting in my room that doesn't get used much. I was gonna steal the electrionics off of it and hell maybe even the trans mission! I was gonna offer him 80 for it. If he would have sold it to me a couple months ago I would have never gotten my Crap Climber! This is just going to be a bashing toy anyways so it doesn't need to be super stout. I'm gonna have a good look at it before i buy it. | |
