| Think i'll call this one "PHANTOM"
ok, be gentle, this is my FIRST attempt at a tuber. i've made other trucks, as you may remember "Goliath", "LEX", "SharkBait", and "OnceBitten"........... or not i'm still a noob when it comes to this crawlin thing. think that 13" is going to be the base for it, i see most of them out now w/ 11-12", and if i decide to run maxx Moab LX's, i'll need the extra length...LOL don't flame me too bad, as i stated, this is my FIRST tuber. HOWEVER, all comments welcome. |

Thanks guys, however, the complements got overshadowed by my rude awakening about 1:00 am..... http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrow...der_id=1564862 so it looks like these pics are as far as phantom is gonna get for a while.... the tubing is a little big...hehehe, but what the hell. the links are just there for geometry, its getting custom aluminum, or maybe steel 3/16 or maybe even 1/4" links... eventually. the torch i'm using is one from orchelns, portable oxy-acetylene torch with a "0" tip. i'll keep you posted....hehehe |

Damn!! That sucks! I am sorry to see that happen to your `stangs! What happen? Let us know so the rest of us might be able to protect or prevent something like this. P.S. The tuber looks good. Once I get my garage cleaned and my TIG welder hooked up I am going to take a stab at a tuber build. Last edited by jedrattle; 01-08-2006 at 08:35 AM. |
