JL scale Bronco build-up And away we go. I am starting on a scale Bronco build-up. I am building the complete roller for James Luce. He wanted a truck that was along the same lines as my silver Jeep. I am going to build the chassis and make it roll. And James is going to finish up all the painting and final touches. Here is a quick list of some of the specs. HPI Bronco body Approx. 12" wheelbase Square steel frame with full tube cage TLT axles 4 inch coilover shocks Pede tranny Revo links Tires? will do mockup with some 2.2 Moabs I got a start on it today. I built the frame rails and tied them together with a few crossmembers. The profile of the frame is pretty close to a 1:1 frame. I made the tranny/ link mounts and mounted a mockup tranny. I also threw on a set of revo links to give an idea of wheelbase. Now just waiting on the big brown truck for some more parts. Here is what I have so far. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...oncoframe1.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...oncoframe2.jpg |

Brando, you have a PM. :) |
Dang Brando, another already. You go girl! |
I have been waiting for some parts for the Bronco. So needless to say I have not got very far. James is getting anxious so I figured I would give him a little fix. Here is your standard mockup on a block pic. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...nco/bronco.jpg I need to locate the body on the chassis tomorrow. Then the tube bending will begin. By the end of the week it should look like something. And it should be able to sit up without a block. |
that thing gunna look awsome when its done. Do you think those moabs would look better than some swamp dogs. |
I like the Moabs but I thinl swamp dog would be the balls. I have some G-hawgs coming. We will have to see what those look like. |
a there sick looking scale and i can't stop drooling over the scale of it. |
Ok, Before James has a cow I figure he needs an update. Body is mounted, front and rear bumpers done, main cage 75% complete. Here are a couple pics of the progress. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...co/bronco3.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...co/bronco2.jpg |
That's nice! Clean welds. Hope you don't mind if I clone that. |
damn it |
frigin key bords a pice of s*** i ment to say "damn its going to be two nice two get all scrached up on rocks." But i guess i cant get it all scrached up for awile because ill be having snow. Just incase anyone else will de having this problem you can get fire wood and crawl over that. This is what i did with my stock tlt and it didnt do very good |
Never mind cord wood, I just use my kids. "Lay down on the floor girls". "Daddy needs to test a new set of shocks".:-P |
hmmmmmm.... I do have a 2 year ld sister and a 3 year old brother robert. he might lke it but not sure about my sister olivia |
also I showed my brother robet this truck and he said " is it for me" and i rold him no he wasnt old enough and started crying so i let him play with my abandoned pede |
I let my 6 yr. old daughter drive my Savage one time and she almost killed us! She jumped the curb and came right at the two of us I was yelling let of the throttle over and over.It finally stoped when she ran over her bike! After I asked her why she didn't let of the throttle she said "what's a throttle?" I almost fell over laughing!!! |
