went to the flat irons today with Tex to test it out and had nothing but problems with the rear driveshaft and then the steering. Then back at his place we realized that I suck at building links but now everything is patched up and shes workin awesome. Tex seemed to be impressed with the 45t lathe as well

Cool, I'll have to take a ride over there in the morning.

I started to make a set of lockouts for the TLT rear axle, but I never finished the proto-types. I guess should get on that too.

ok just had a brain fart, what if you were to paint the inside of a body silver to resemble bare metal, and paint the out side your color of choice (flat green)
that way when you scratch it, it might look a little more real

I wasnt going for a scale my jeep...just the paint scheme was going to be the same. Thats kind of a neat idea except I think it would be really silver really quick

well after running 1 1/2 batterys through it today at the flatirons....I need to find more flex, it was good then I had to go to my spare control arms with ovalized rod ends. Fixed that tonight and still no good, I am stumped

edit*
changed pretty much my whole rig and got it working pretty well I think... only drove it for about 2 minutes. Will have to wait to see how it does on climbs, hopefully my wicked torque roll is gone as well

alright after some wheeling I changed some stuff I didnt like. Changed the front uppers from over the servo to behind the servo. Cut the chassis up a bit to clear the shocks (could have used bigger spacers but then tires would have rubbed worse) Made a battery holder, and changed my links up a bit. Also went to a 87t spur instead of the 90t, works alot better with the 45t, still have lots of torque but a lot more wheel speed, which is good. I liked the 90t but for winter I think I will take the wheel speed for the snow and such. Still need to mess with the oil and the springs a bit. on to the pics
