this is my new scale/ realistic crawler for the new class in oregon called the scale rigs class.....

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...MC0324&P=7 the rig

http://tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=58324 the pics etc..

it has a-arms in front with a solid axle in rear, with some modification i think it will make a perdy cool scale rig

Cool cool, have fun with it. I've seen some nicely done Xb's. The hardest part is getting more clearance under the front diff and getting steering slop taken out. I don't think you'll be able to "crawl" but it should be able to take inclines, and scale trails no problem.

Get us pics of yours later

I like it.

Looks a lot like a Pajero.

The pajero comes with a radio for the same price... Looks like the Pajero is shorter though.

The tlt wheels fit on nice and look scale still
as for wheel base the jeep and pajero are shorter than the CRV and the VW ,but I feel the longer wheel base handles heaps beter.
I am in the process of building an Scale truck based around the XC chassis with custom 4 link rear suspension and tlt wheels and clod body and a few other small mods .

I just put TLT shocks On my JeepJero and Now I have 3" of articulation .Almost a inch over stock.I Have more than I can use as the Tire Hits the Chassis.I mite cut the chassis for some more.I really want 2 Use a Jero Chassis With TLT axles. It whould be scale But with strait axles.Tamiya Had the Chassis On back order.what hell? make some!so...when i get some cash i'm gonna buy all the Parts And build .I have one of each now But I just cant rip them abart just to make One.I need a Jeep Wrangler body for the Project.

Why dont you just put tlt axels on custom rail chassis with four link suspension on front and rear then have a true scale truck similar to the old tamiya 3 speeds?

Yeah pretty much. The only problem with trying to convert an XC chassis is the gearbox for the front drive is all inclosed but it would look pretty good if it could be done.

I already have a Mountaineer Im Working on,I figure i'd use a Stamped Trans In the Jero chassis Because the Jero gaer box wont work with a front strait axle.

looks like a change of plans i now have to get tlt1 because the orcrc rules state your scale rig has to have tlt axles so i am going that way with emaxx tranny and ladder frame....
