Default Engle tranny any good?

Im working on a new scale crawler, and was wondering if a Engle tranny would be any good. It seems to be pretty small and compact.

Those trannies are hard to come by I've been searching for one and can't find one anywhere.

I've got two and a derlin "engle" knock off made by scale hobbies, I think. As far as using it for a crawler I'd suggest going with a pede. just my .02

i agree, 'pede or something similar. the engle tranny is kinda clunky (awkward and big) and could be hard to fit in some chassis'. besides, good luck getting ahold of dave. he still hasn't cashed two of my checks or returned any of my calls since last june! i just want to pay the man what i owe him damn it!

By far the best tranny out there HANDS DOWN...

If your building a Bruiser... I have 2 on my trucks and I swear by their performance. If you want to use them for a scale build,I would suggest you look elsewhere. The ENGLE tranny is a direct replacement for the bruiser and would only cause you headaches if you tried incorporating it onto a home made chassis due to its Bulky size.

i had a engle in my mounty, worked awsome, but it hangs low, it got hung up alot, cant beat the pede tranny for crawlin, it also took me like 2 months to get hold of him for som servo mounts.

Ok, well, it looks like that was not such a good idea. I am building a replica Sniper, and wanted something smaller tranny wise, but it doesn't seem like it is all that small. I guess i'll go back to either a pede or stealth. Thanks for the help. Oh, and Sancho *cough*cough*Aggy, When are we gonna see you drive the tuber you made?
