Default Practical ESC help

I'm not looking for the latest greatest. Just something that will get the job done. I don't really want to shell out another 120 for a super rooster if I don't have to.

What do you guys think is a good affordable ESC for a tlt based 2.2.

I've got an old novak or tekin 410 that I ran with my blackfoot with YEARRRRS ago, I put it up on ebay a few times and nobody wanted to gimme $10 bucks for it so I figured I'd try it my TLT. If it blows up, who cares, if it works, Yay for me! BTW, at $80 the TR2 is a pretty good deal too.

Yeah, the rebels have an even higher BEC than the super rooster if I recall correctly, so two servos is no sweat. But the rooster is just better suited to dual motors, hence they are run in clods more often.

I have an LRP, and they have a nasty double pump reverse. It sucks for crawling, makes saving a rollover near impossible. Badger knows this. He ran my truck when I had the LRP. He'd probably just say my truck sucks overall, but the ESC didn't help

Futaba MC330, probably the most under-rated ESC out there. Has a 3 amp BEC and you can get one for $50 or so. Be advised it has double-pump reverse.

I agree, the Novak XRS is great for the money. I think I got mine for $44. at the lhs. Easy to program, instant reverse and hey, its a Novak so you really can't go wrong. You can run rear steer but you'll have to run a RX pack:?.
