Default ORCRC Featured Truck: The Dorkstar Prototype

I revamped my 2005 Competition TLT. This is just the ghetto-hacked up prototype, but it works darn well! It took first at the recent ORCRC Competition.

http://orcrc.com/dorkstartlt.htm

Stay tuned for the "Production" version.

Thanks,
Ryan

This is the new chassis design for a comp tlt. It will climb things a tlt shouldnt, and Ryan still has some tweaks to do to make it even better cant wait for the production version

Looks very different Ryan. I love the way you try new things all the time. I can't wait to see the production version.

very innovative. Great to see something different pushing the limits. So on the production version people are expected to run lipo packs or either a 6 cell 2/3A micro pack, correct? I agree with this 100% but will others?

Wow Ryan, that looks awesome! I can't wait to see it perform in person next month. I am sure it is going to take the tlt comp rigs by storm this season.

-Thanks people! The body is a Crowd Pleaser 2.0 for the JATO.

-The production Chassis will include the needed hardware for the carrier, as well as be able to fit most 'little' or custom packs.

It works very well, here's some evidence:

I'm working on the V1.0 chassis today, and will hopefully have some pics up in a couple days.

Thanks,
Ryan

So you say "production"....

That mean there is a possibility of these going on sale, and what kinda time table are we looking at?

So true, I could give a dyam how something looks. Functionality always over comes Cosmetics! Looks good man, You can tell there was alot of trial and error, maybe more errors than you wanted. I like it man nice work.

Very interesting setup. Pretty trick carrier you've got there, too. I look forward to seeing the final version.

Well, if everyone hasn't said it enough already, very nice. Really inovative with the trans far foward and the whole carrier thing is really trick. But with that 1350mah lipo, how much run time do you get?
