Default TLT needs tighter steering radius. any help?

I have a TLT, running the Super Blackfoot longer axles but don't get the tight turning I think I should. Can anyone help?

4WS.

That's really going to be the only way you're going to improve your turning radius. The only other way that would help is if you do the front dig mod that miniwheeler has done.

That's the sucky part about having locked diffs both front and rear.

Did you shave down the blackfoot axle cups?

top is before bottom is after Skipstr71 did some machining to his axles...pm him and he can give you more information.

Default Shaving axle cups.

That was one thing I was gonna do. I saw that was the problem and figured it would help to cut them down.

I did shave about 1mm off of the cup end of the Blackfoot stubs. Otherwise, you have binding issues when turning.

Damn, Skipstr really increased his turning radius. Thanks for showing us that, NorCal. I'm going to have to PM him right now to see how to do that.

I shaved the cups on my Bronco TLT, but didn't on my tuber. There is a big difference in the Bronco. I like it.

Keep in mind you can only shave so far before you start rubbing on shocks or links, depending on your mount locations.

also check out how long your servo horn is, does it reach it max? i shaved my cups and got a 1" horn and it turns great, also check to see if your cups can slide back and forth, if they do shim them with washers so keep them at there outer most position.
