| The PTI - TLT-1 buster may finaly see the retail market?
Is this old news? I just found out about it. Will it actually hit the market? Axles apperently have a smaller profile than the TLT axles..ORCRC may have to modify thier scale limitations to include PTI axles. http://www.one18th.com/news.php?suba...p;ucat=13& http://ptiracing.net/page16.html PTI has been milling over this for years now. WTF is thier problem. I would not have even considered a TLT-1 if this was out. |

PTI purchased it from the guy who originally made it years ago. They were/are going to produce it and this is the forst pick of the actual production model. Will it actually be sold???

Dave Palacios, one of the guys at R/C Car magazine, created the original truck over a year ago using TC3 parts. For Dave, the hold-up to production was the solid axle assemblies. He had some aluminum pieces made, but apparently didn't have the resources to mass produce them. I heard there was one of these at the Chicago Hobby Show but several of the parts still looked "rough", like the truck on display was still in some sort of a proto stage. |

It was suposed to come out last month. On one18th.com I read they're now looking to start shipping to distributers next week.

I saw and drove the truck in Vegas in Oct. I was there for Interbike, and crashed on the hobby expo. The guys from PTI did not want to release the product till it was ready. The photos on 18thscale.com have my pack of smokes under the wheels. This truck is amazing. It really puts the TLT to shame, and I own and have been working on mine for awhile. Currently the TLT is sitting on the bench and I am not touching it. I will buy a PTI as soon as I see one at my LHS. PTI has gotten a bad rap on 18thscale.com and several other forums. This is due to lots of mis-information released about the product. It is going to make one hell of a crawler. There where problems with getting the designs done for the axles, glad they got them right. Check this machine out when it becomes available and know that PTI delayed their release so you could have a better product. |

That little buggar looks good! I've been planning on getting a TLT. If the price of this new guy is comparable to a TLT ($150 or less??), I'm getting one of these instead! Vince

They keep dumping spy shots, but never keep to a release date.... Will the truck ever get out, nobody knows... But I do have two 6061 spools for the bugger.
