Default Another SW2

I will use this rig for comps. Hopefully I'll be able to actually complete more than 2 gates with this truck. (seems I have bad luck with my previous clod and maxx)

SW2 Chassis, 12.5" WB
Aluminum maxx shocks with red springs (probably change that)
HPI Spoke rims with Moabs
TR2 ESC, TQ3 RX/TX
645 front, Associated MGT rear
Pede sliders, steel yokes
Ball bearing equipped pede trans
55t lathe with 16t pinion

I was having problems with lack of flex on the truck, but thanks to Bender and Digler, I realized that my upper shock mounts were binding. What I did was cut a small piece of 3/16" brake line tubing which fit perfecly in the upper shock mount, used the stock nylint shock pivot ball as a spacer between the chassis and the shock. This allows the upper shock mount to float and not bind up.

I also have the uppers positioned so that the pinion points up at the tranny, to give better ground clearance and drive line angles. I know this affects caster angle, but so far so good.

Man, this thing climbs like a goat!

I still have a lot of tweaking to do, like with the shocks and trimming the body, but it works for now.

Here it is on the rocks that I used to put my Nylint on. Had to re-arrange them to make it a little more challenging. It's amazing how much better this crawls than the Nylint! (not that I was surprised or anything)

lol....I diddnt realize that! I was in too much of a hurry to get it together and running!

With that being said, I'm ashamed to show any body off shots. I still need to tidy up the wiring and everything. I'll post some when it's presentable! :-P

lol

We'll see. So far so good. I lost a wheel nut, but other than that, no breakage yet.

I might stop down under the bridge on Kellog and do some wheeling. What are you up to today? Wanna come?
